Hello, Hello my crafty friends……. Yeap! It’s that time Tic Tac Toe Thursday is here and I have a little something to share with you today. I’m going to link this card too a few challenges where Anything Goes. I like the Tic Tac Toe board that was designed by Corinne this week. My design originally started out as middle row across: Happy Birthday, Gray, Yellow it dawned on me after it was done oops! I used the wrong sentiment for the middle row.. but remember we’re playing TIC TAC TOE, I’m still in the game and won with the bottom row across: Hexagon, DieCut, Embellishment…… Woot! Woot! You see how you can’t go wrong with playing this game of TIC TAC TOE.
For my card today I did a “lil” ink smooshing with Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed distress inks and used my heat tool to speed up the drying.
I took my clarity stencil brush and the Tim Holtz hexagon stencil to add a few hexagons and ink splatters with Hickory Smoke distress ink to give my background some pizzaz.
I stamped the SU Birthday Blooms flower image on Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored the flower with various copic markers and cut it out with my Brother Scan and Cut. I added a few embellishments with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Liquid Mercury and English Mustard…
I don’t know if you see the sparkle but I added some Clear Wink of Stella to those flowers to give it a ‘lil’ dew you know like dew drops early in the morning…..
Hint, Hint from the looks of this card what row do you think I was creating off of…. lol. Thank you for stopping by today.
I’m also linking my card to the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge.

Oh so pretty! Your copic coloring is amazing. Love the background you created?
Jennifer,
Your such a sweet heart thank you so much for the comment love.
Oh you made me laugh….way to save the day (or card)! So many times what I start out making ends up so different. I love your card…these are some of my favorite colors! I need to learn this “smooshing” technique! Thanks for the smile!
Jeanie,
You’re welcome for the smile. I know right what a comeback and lol I think the stencil is actually a honeycomb instead of a hexagon. Oh well no mistakes in paper crafting right. I tell you with this ink smooshing it’s the first time I actually liked out it turned out.
Really like your smooshed background and like the stencil technique too! Yellow and gray, great colors, very nice card.
I don’t know why I have too keep approving you. I love to get and read your comments Sandy.. I can’t believe my smooshing turned out exactly how I wanted it… I would never have thought to pair yellow and gray together. That’s the beauty of this challenge.
I’m beginning to understand why we have a Copic marker in our logo. You are amazing at coloring! Love the cheery flower!
Corinne,
Thank you… yes when Nicole was reading my brain when she designed the challenge logo. Yes I love my Copic’S for sure.
What a beautiful card! Yellow and gray are such a pretty color combination and you rocked this week’s TTTC. Remember, there’s always another row when playing with Tic Tac Toe!
Shannon,
thank you for the comment love. I so love this tic tac toe because if your going for one and get an oops you always have another row to redeem yourself.
Love your card! The background really caught my eye and I had to know how you did it. It’s a great technique and perfect background for your flower!
Marcia,
Thank you, I did some ink smooshing. I took the distress ink and put it down on my craft mat and lightly misted the ink. I took the watercolor paper an just kind of smooshed it around. You really have too play with it to get the look you want. The was my second take on it the first one didn’t turn out how I wanted it too.
This is so pretty!
Thank you for sharing with Addicted to Stamps and More!
