TTTC #295 Happy Birthday
Happy Wednesday, crafty friends!
Today I’m sharing a sweet birthday card inspired by the left column down on the Tic Tac Toe board: Floral • Pink • Birthday.
I started with a soft neutral patterned background and layered several stitched frame dies in white to create dimension while keeping the design light and elegant. The beautiful floral die cuts take center stage, featuring soft pink blooms with bright yellow centers and vibrant green foliage. A few delicate white leaves tucked behind the flowers add extra interest without overwhelming the arrangement.
For a touch of rustic charm, I tied a simple twine bow across the top of the focal panel and finished the card with a black sentiment strip that pops against the soft colors. A scattering of pearl embellishments adds just the right amount of sparkle and completes the design.
This card was such a fun way to incorporate the Floral, Pink, and Birthday elements from the board. I love how the layered frames draw your eye to the bouquet while allowing the flowers to remain the star of the show.

TTTC #297 Party Like It’s 1776
Hello crafty friends!
I’m excited to share my card for this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge! For this challenge, I chose the middle row across: Any Color, Free, and Sentiment.
I decided to create a festive patriotic card filled with fun details and lots of dimension. Since Any Color gave me complete freedom, I went with a classic red, white, and blue color palette that feels bold, cheerful, and perfect for a summer celebration.
For the Free square, I let my creativity take over and built this playful arrangement using layered die cuts. The patriotic hat overflowing with flowers, greenery, an American flag, and a firecracker created the perfect focal point for this design. I love how all the elements work together to give this card a fun, celebratory feel.
The Sentiment prompt is highlighted with the playful greeting, “Party like it’s 1776,” which adds the perfect touch of humor and personality. It really brings the whole patriotic theme together and makes this card ideal for celebrating Independence Day or any summer gathering.
I kept the background clean and simple with a crisp white panel layered onto navy cardstock, allowing all the colorful details to truly shine. A few sparkling gems were added for just the right amount of finishing detail.

TTTC 290 – You Are Amazing
You Are Amazing – Floral Card Design
Hello crafty friends!
Today I’m sharing a card that absolutely makes my heart happy—full of soft florals, fresh color, and just the right amount of texture. This design came together so naturally, and it’s one of those cards that feels both elegant and playful at the same time. I played tic tac toe top right diagonal row down: Floral/Foliage, Free, Encouraging Sentiment.
Design Details
I started with a beautiful embossed background, which adds just enough interest without taking away from the focal point. I love how subtle texture can elevate a clean card base—it really sets the stage for everything else.
The star of this card is the layered floral arrangement. I used a mix of soft and vibrant tones:
- Coral pink for the main flower (my favorite pop of color!)
- Lavender, soft blue, blush, and cream for the supporting florals
- Fresh greens to bring everything to life
To create dimension, I layered the die cuts slightly over one another, allowing the bouquet to feel full and organic—almost like it’s growing right off the card.
Favorite Elements
Contrast: The black stems and sentiment strip add just the right amount of contrast to ground all the softness.
Dimension: Layering the florals gives the card movement and depth.
Sparkle: A few scattered gems bring in that subtle shine (you know I love a little sparkle!).
Sentiment
The sentiment “YOU ARE AMAZING” is simple but powerful. I love how it sits right across the floral arrangement—it feels intentional and bold without overpowering the design.
This card would be perfect for:
- Encouragement
- A sweet note to a friend
- Just-because happy mail
Final Thoughts
This card reminds me how much I love working with florals—they’re timeless, versatile, and always bring joy.

TTTC 288 Collect Beautiful Moments

I’m so excited to be sharing my card for this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge! For my design I chose the right column going down: Splatter – Die Cut Shapes – Embellishment.
To begin my card, I started with a black card base and layered it with a beautiful scalloped die-cut panel. I love how the soft scalloped edges frame the design and add a touch of elegance to the card.
Next, I created a collage of die-cut shapes using patterned papers featuring florals, vintage script, and rich berry tones. The mix of patterns gives the card a layered and dimensional look while still keeping the design cohesive.
To bring everything together, I added ink splatter across the background. The splatter adds a bit of artistic texture and movement that helps break up the white space and gives the card a slightly mixed-media feel.
For my embellishments, I finished the card with a few delicate butterfly accents placed across the panel. These small details add dimension and draw the eye across the design. Finally, I added a bold sentiment that reads “Collect Beautiful Moments” which perfectly complements the vintage floral theme.
I love how this card came together with the layered shapes, soft butterflies, and subtle splatter details. It’s such a fun combination from the board!

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #278 – Blooming Birthday Card
Hello crafty friends!
It’s Tic Tac Toe Thursday and I’m excited to share this week’s board was full of fun possibilities and created by none other than Felicita, This week I chose the board elements: Stencil, Birthday, Die Cut .
My Card Design
For my project, I created a Happy Birthday Floral Frame card.
The florals were stenciled with Pink Fresh Studio Floral Border in a mix of pinks, reds, and corals, with fresh greens for the leaves. I die cut an extra Floral Border die out of Hammermill Cardstock to add a little dimension, making it feel like the blooms are spilling off the card.
The The bold “Happy Birthday” sentiment from Simon Says Stamp XL Birthday Greetings takes center stage, keeping the card’s purpose clear and celebratory. The Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped on Hammermill Cardstock with Color Box Archival Black Ink and double stacked to make it pop! I added a touch of gems and glossy accents to a few blossoms for a subtle sparkle and shine.
What I love most about the Tic Tac Toe Challenge is how it sparks creativity. Choosing the Stencil – Birthday – Die Cut row helped me focus my design while still leaving plenty of room for creativity. I could easily see this same floral frame layout working with different color palettes, sentiments, or even a shaped card twist.
