Hello again! I am posting my third homework assignment for AECP. This design I’m using the beautiful Whimsical Flower stamp set. I’m in love with these layered flowers and the countless ways you can use them to create so many lovely designs.
If your new to layering stamps like me and feel intimidated by them, Altenew has layering guides with each set on their website. These guides are great if your not sure how to line the stamp layers up properly. The more I create and come out of my comfort zone I’m loving learning this new technique.
Third Design
For my third project, I wanted a kissing technique for my flowers. I masked two of the flowers from the Whimsicle Flower: stamp set to create this beautiful design. To color the flowers I stamped with Altenew Crisp Dye Inks in, Shades of Purple and Green Fields Mini Cube Ink sets. Creating this design was quite simple as the images are fairly defined. If it isn’t exact it doesn’t matter in the least. The sentiment is from the Label Love: stamp set, stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink.
I was pleasantly surprised that my design came together easily by following the alignment guide. I wanted my whimsicle flowers to pop off the page the shades of purple ink really draws your eyes to those lovely flowers. I die cut the art and colored panel using Lil Inker Stitched Mats Dual Stitched Rectangles.
Lastly I finished my card by adding a few random sequins and adhered the art panel to the colored card stock, and attached to a Neenah 110 lb top fold card base. Feel free to leave me a comment and let me know what you think of my design today!
