Hello crafty friends! I’m back with another handmade card for this week’s Design Team O feature! This week, Silke created a beautiful Tic Tac Toe Challenge board, and I had so much fun crafting with it.
My Chosen Row:
Top row across: Love/Anniversary Free Square
I dug deep into the crafty cube and found the perfect combo to bring this vision to life!
Card Details
I started by stenciling the gorgeous Waffle Flower Lovely Rose Stencil using:
SSS Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Guava and Watermelon for the rose layers
Simon Rainbow Splash Green for the leaves
All of this was ink blended on Neenah 100lb Solar White cardstock.
Once the stenciling was done, I die cut the panel using the Waffle Flower Postage Collage Die—I just love the perforated stamp-like look it gives! I then adhered it to a standard A2 card base (5½″ x 4¼″), also in Neenah Solar White.
To finish it off, I added:
A sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Vintage Love Notes Stamp Set: “Love and affection”
A scattering of pink gems for a subtle sparkle
And a touch of vintage postal detail with stamped corners (15¢ and No. 251)
Final Thoughts
This card has such a soft and romantic vibe—perfect for an anniversary, Valentine’s Day, or simply to express heartfelt affection.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope this inspires you to join in this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge. Be sure to tag me if you play along—I’d love to see your creations!
I’m back with another handmade card to share, and this week Design Team X is up! Betty has curated an amazing Tic Tac Toe board, and I couldn’t wait to dive in.
For my card this week, I was inspired by a design from Vicky P’s “10 Cards – 1 Kit” series and decided to create something with a vintage postage feel. Here’s how it came together:
Supplies & Process:
I started by die-cutting my main art panel from Tim Holtz Wallflower Patterned Paper, which came in the Simon Says Stamp May 2025 “Beautiful & Curious” Card Kit.
I used the Mama Elephant Femme Frames Die for the art panel.
To add layered texture, I trimmed a few extra strips from the same patterned paper, then ink-blended the edges using Distress Ink in Walnut Stain with a Simon Says Stamp small blending brush. I attached these strips with a stapler for that perfect shabby vintage look.
Details that Pop:
I die-cut the postage frame using Pinkfresh Studio Nested Rectangles Postage Edge Die out of Simon Says Stamp Ivory Cardstock.
The butterfly? I fussy cut straight from the Wallflower paper – popped up on foam tape for dimension.
The sentiment “be awesome today” is from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Small Talk Stickers – one of my favorite go-tos!
To finish, I added a few pink enamel dots to tie in the floral colors and give it that final cheerful touch.
The Finished Look:
Here’s the card:
I really love the warm, nostalgic feel this design brings. It’s got soft botanical vibes, muted textures, and a sweet daily reminder: be awesome today.
