Butterfly Kisses & Birthday Wishes for YOU!! TTTC010

Hello, Hello my crafty friends………!  It’s Tic Tac Toe Thursday and I’m keeping it simple this week. For this week’s board I chose the elements on the top row across: Metallic, Emboss, Insect or bug.  This week’s board was created by the talented Nicole Watt………..

I have fallen in love with the dramatic look of black cardstock as the backdrop for my images. I took a piece of SU Black cardstock and stamped the flower image from the Mama Elephant Butterfly Kisses with clear ink and heat embossed with the SSS Fine Detail Gold EP. I then colored the flower with my Prima Metallic Accents Watercolors. I have a confession I’m actually giving Washi  tape some love. I adhered strips of the Pink Fresh Studio Washi tape along the sides of my card base . After I was done with the art panel I took the same colors of paint as my image and went splatter crazy. The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed with the gold embossing powder as well………. The art panel was then adhered to an A2Top Fold card base. I hope you like my take on the top row of the Tic Tac Toe board this week.  Oh by the way you should check out some of the design’s that Design Team “O” has created for you this week.

Hello…. It’s A Freshly Made Saturday

Happy Sunday my crafty friends….. I’ve had tons of time this weekend playing in the haven and boy does it feel good to create.  I’m joining a few challenges this week. So come along for the ride and enjoy!
I love the sketch that Kim created over on the Freshly Made Sketches blog this week… I knew I wanted a dramatic look and this Washi tape I had in my stash has a geometric sort of dramatic look about it…..

I used a  Neenah black  top-fold A2 card base and adhered the strips of Washi onto the card base. I  knew the exact image I needed to draw your eye to the background. I stamped a few images from my recent purchase MFT Delicate Pretty Poppies stamp and colored the flower and leaves image with various copic markers and cut out with my Brother Scan-N-Cut.

To finish my card I adhered the flower and leaves images on top of the Washi strips. I used the SSS Painted Hello Die for my sentiment and gave it an ombre look by using my copic markers. I added Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the center of the flower and a few Nuvo Crystal Drops and it’s a rap for this card.

How Does Your Garden Grow – TTTC009

Hello, Hello my crafty friends….. I feel like I’m on a Roller Coaster and it’s moving at warp speed… I spent a few days last week in Chicago and I’m seriously playing catch up.

Today is Tic Tac Toe Challenge Day and we have a great challenge board for you! For this weeks board I chose the top left row diagonal down

For my card this week I knew exactly which row I thought I was going for until I realized my card was not a one layer card. This one was easy to pull together. I stamped several of the images from the Altenew Garden Grow stamp set onto Neenah Solar white cardstock and Copic colored  the images with various Copic markers.

I wanted to create a scene with the plants looking like they’re outside against a brick wall. I used my clarity stencil brushes with the Tim Holtz Bricked stencil and Walnut Stain Oxide Distress Ink.

To finish off my card I mounted the Neenah art piece on a Sahara Sand A2 card base and blended Walnut Stain Distress Ink around the edges of the card base. I hope you like my take on this weeks Tic Tac Toe board elements: Thank You, Distress Inks, Plants.

Crafty Supplies
Paper: Neenah Solar White (80lb), Sahara Sand (SU)
Stamp: Altenew Garden Grow, SSS Bouquet of Thanks
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Chocolate Chip (SU), Walnut Stain Distress Oxide, Various Copic Markers
