Casing On A Saturday ….CASology

Oh what a beautiful morning! Hello my crafty friends I’m feeling somewhat better this morning I didn’t wake up with the dreaded headache that’s been plaguing me all week. I don’t think I can take any more sinus medication……… I’m playing this morning over on the CASology blog and this weeks cue word is TEXT. I knew exactly what I wanted to create but for some reason plan A didn’t happen the way I like you know how that is right. So onto plan B.
I went deep into the crafty confines of my haven and pulled out The SSS Floral Bookmarking stamp set and Woot! the perfect Text appeared before my eyes….. I stamped the sentiment in my Misti stamping tool
to get the perfect alignment. I then used the die set to cut out the flower and leaves to make a stencil. I’m in love with stenciling lately….. I used a few distress inks to blend the flower and leaves onto the sentiment. It’s one of my favorite quotes. I just love when you get what your looking for in your creation. I will say this one came together rather nicely. I do hope you like my take on this weeks cue word.

CASology – Sending Love

Happy Sunday my crafty friends I need a weekend makeover is it possible. I’m starting my fourth week at my new job and last Wednesday I felt the effects of being on a new job everything seems surreal. My security blanket is gone life is definitely different. I love the new job lot’s to learn. I had the opportunity to play a little in the haven this morning and it felt great. I’m playing over on the CASology blog and the cue word this week is Glisten.  I wanted the theme to be  sending my love.  I purchased a envelope from the Silhouette Design store and cut it out of vellum. I used a stitched heart die to cut the heart out of  red glimmer paper and I printed my sentiment from a font in Microsoft word called Laurenscript.  Hope you like my take on this week’s cue word.

Rainy Sunday Evening……

Happy Sunday my crafty friends….. It’s been raining here in So. Cal all evening. I spent sometime in the haven working on a few cards. I need my crafty mojo back. Im playing over on the CASology blog this evening for the life of me I was drawing a blank on what to create………I’m missing my crafty mojo…. here’s what I came up with… I pulled out the MFT Abstract Heart die my first thought was to do a little ink smooshing. All my pieces stayed in the die so there went the ink smooshing idea. My next thought maybe I’ll do a little ink blending in order for this to work I had to pull out the old Press & Seal…… awesomeness it worked like a charm… So here’s my take on the sketch! Hope you like.

Let’s Go To the Tree Farm….. CASology #231

Whew…….TGIF my crafty friends! It’s been a whirlwind this week. I started my new job on Monday very exciting lots to learn and I’m basically on email all day long! My new job everything  is digital….I’ve entered the world of technology! Overall my week was great I’m going to love the new opportunity looking forward to all I’m going to learn. I even had some time to play this week trying to get my crafty groove back. I’m playing again this week over on the CASology blog and the Cue word this week is Forest.. I was a little stumped on this one trying to decide what scene I wanted to create. I made two cards but I chose this one… I purchased the Ellen Hutson Tree Farm stamp set several months ago and like everything else in my haven didn’t get around to using it so what better stamp set…..yes you got it Tree Farm… In my mind I saw a family that owns a tree farm living in their camper and selling those beautiful Christmas trees to us….. I wanted the camper to have a distress look so I took my colorless blender solution and used he texture from a washcloth to give it a weathered, distressed look….I gave it a snowy look as well you know how it is at those tree farms in the winter. Ok! enough of my blabbing here’s my take on the cue word……Hope You Enjoy!
