Merry Monday #282

Hello, Happy Monday! It’s time for another challenge over at Merry Monday! This weeks challenge is brought to you by Linda. She has challenged us to create a Christmas card using the inspiration photo below.

My design this week I used dies and patterned paper so this one was easy to create. I went for a vintage look on this design. I die cut the main panel with the Tim Holtz Stacked Deckle Thinlits out of Bazzill Taffy cardstock. The Memory Box Shinning Candles was die cut out of “Stampin’ Up Gold Foil, Garden Green cardstock, Bazzill Red Hots. I blended Vintage Photo Distress ink around the edges.

Crafty Supplies
Paper: Bazzill (Taffy, Red Hots) Stampin Up (Gold Foil, Garden Green) Kaiser Kraft (Silent Night paper pack)
Ink: Distress (Vintage Photo)

“Jingle Bell Rock” – Merry Monday

Dashing through the snow….. Hum! oops wrong song Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock. I just love that song can’t you hear those cute little penguins singing and rocking out.

This weeks challenge over at Merry Monday Colleen’s challenge is for us to add a penguin to our card.

For my design this week I created a winter scene with the Lawn Fawn Here We Go A Waddling stamp set. I die cut the LF Stitched Portrait Hillside Backdrop on Neenah cardstock. The extra piece from the die cut I blended Faded Jeans and Blueprint Sketch to give me a night sky. I stamped the LF Snowy Backdrop onto the panel with SSS Clear Ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts White Puff (EP). I stamped several of the penguins onto X-Press It Blending paper and Copic colored.

To finish off my card I adhered the Hillside panel onto a A2 Top Fold Card Base.

Please head over to Merry Monday blog and check out the rest of the Design Team lovely creations.

Joy to the world…….. It’s Merry Monday

Hello! Happy Monday my crafty friends…This morning I have a new challenge for you  Merry Monday Challenge and this week our hostess is Marcia and the challenge is to Create a Christmas card with the word “JOY” on it.  I’ll be guest designing for Merry Monday Challenge for the next 4 months. I’m super excited to be joining a team of some amazing designers. For my card this week I couldn’t wait to ink up the Avery Elle Caroling Critters. I think it goes well with this weeks challenge ” create a card with “Joy” can’t you envision those critters standing on the street corner singing Joy to the World. I inked up several images from the stamp set with a Copic friendly ink Memento Tuxedo Black  and colored  the images with various Copic Markers. The images were cut with my Brother Scan N Cut.  I used  one of the dies from the Avery Elle Custom Panels Elle-ments set to cut out a snow bank. On the background I used Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch to create a snowy night. I used the Avery Elle Falling Snow Elle-ments die to add the snow. To finish my card I adhered the background to an A2 Top Fold Neenah Card base. I  added Nuvo Glitter to the die cut snow banks  to make it look like fallen snow on the ground and adhered them to the background. I added some detail to the images with a Sakura White Gelly Roll pen, glossy accents was added to the lamp post. The sentiment  and musical notes were stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black.  Hope you like my take on this weeks challenge. Come play along with us for the Merry Monday challenge, the design team has some beautiful inspiration on the challenge blog as well.
