Boo…….TTTC021 – Featured Designer Peggy Noe

Welcome…. My crafty friends to another week of Tic Tac Toe Challenge! Can you hear me say this in my pretend Vincent Price voice! This week our board was created by Peggy Noe. You should head on over  join in the fun and while your there check out the amazing designs the Design Team created this week.

This week I decided to use the elements on the board that are in the top right row diagonal down (Oval, Free, Die Cut) to create a Halloween scene for my design this week. I die cut a piece of Black Licorice card with the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches Die. The oval was cut out with the MFT Cross Stich Oval Die-Namics. The images from The Waffle Flower Boo set was stamped onto X-Press It Blending card  with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with various Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating dies.

I used a scrap piece of Bristol Watercolor paper and blended Stormy Sky, Wilted Violet, Black Soot Distress inks onto the paper and spritzed it with water. I masked out the moon with a small circle drawn onto a post-it-note. When the panel was dry I stamped the spider  hanging down onto the panel. The sentiment was stamped with Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment ink.

To finish my card I adhered the blended panel to the Wonky Stitched panel I then adhered it onto a Neenah Solar White A2 Top Fold card base. The Bear image was strategically placed at the bottom of the panel to look as though he’s flying by on his wonky witchy broom……… A few bats were added randomly.

ho ho ho – Merry Monday

It’s Merry Monday... my crafty friends! This week Debbie has challenged us to create a Christmas card from the sketch below. For my take on the sketch I went patterned paper and plenty of layers.

For my card I pulled out a 12×12 Simple Stories Claus & Co. Collection. I mounted the string lights pattern onto a Neenah Solar White Top-Fold card base. I adhered the ho,ho,ho journal card with a slight offset onto a Neenah panel. I die-cut the stars with the MFT Stars, Moon Die-namics and placed them on the corner of the journal card. To finish off my card I added a few Nuvo Crystal Drops in Bottle Green.

O Christmas Tree – Merry Monday Christmas Challenge

Welcome to this week’s Merry Monday challenge! This week, Deanne challenged us to add a tree to our cards. I went with a Charlie Brown Christmas theme. You can head over to the challenge HERE and check out the beautiful designs created by the rest of the Design Team.

For my card this week, I stamped the Mama Elephant O Tiny Tree image onto Ranger watercolor paper with Ranger Distress inks in Gathered Twigs, Shabby Shutters, Forest Moss. I then used a Pental watercolor brush to give the image a slight watercolored lookI stamped the Christmas ornament with Memento Tuxedo black ink and Copic colored it with (R46) added some shimmer with a Sakura Glitter Pen. I die cut the watercolor panel and a (4.25×5.25) sheet of patterned paper from an old Authentique Retro Christmas 6×6 paper pad with the SSS Stitched Rectangle dies.

To finish my card I blended some Gathered Twig Distress ink around the edges to give it a lonely vintage look (You remember that lonely tree on Charlie Brown Christmas) and to forgo adding a sentiment. I adhered both panels onto a (SU) Wild Wasabi A2 Top Fold card base. Thanks for stopping by………
