CASology #243

Hello my crafty friends…. I’m hoping you had a great weekend… I had a super busy weekend. I spent yesterday at SU OnStage here in San Diego such a nice day with my crafty peeps.  I have to admit the new Annual Catalog will blow you away some really great stamp sets coming your way. I had the best plans today and you know how that goes right. I planed my day to go workout at this new club called Orange Theory and then I was going into the Office to catch up on some work well that didn’t work out because the server was down what a bummer…. I then decided to come home and just finish up a few projects in the haven. This evening I’m playing over on the CASology blog cue word is Icing.
I had no idea what to create I went through my stash until an idea popped in my head… I used the LF Baked with Love set and colored my images with several copic markers. I wanted to create a bakery window display so I used the Flirty frames die to make a window and used the Tim Holtz brick stencil and softly blended with  clarity brushes to give me a background. Alright friends hope you like my take on the cue word.. I’m out have a great week my crafty friends.

Casing On A Saturday ….CASology

Oh what a beautiful morning! Hello my crafty friends I’m feeling somewhat better this morning I didn’t wake up with the dreaded headache that’s been plaguing me all week. I don’t think I can take any more sinus medication……… I’m playing this morning over on the CASology blog and this weeks cue word is TEXT. I knew exactly what I wanted to create but for some reason plan A didn’t happen the way I like you know how that is right. So onto plan B.
I went deep into the crafty confines of my haven and pulled out The SSS Floral Bookmarking stamp set and Woot! the perfect Text appeared before my eyes….. I stamped the sentiment in my Misti stamping tool
to get the perfect alignment. I then used the die set to cut out the flower and leaves to make a stencil. I’m in love with stenciling lately….. I used a few distress inks to blend the flower and leaves onto the sentiment. It’s one of my favorite quotes. I just love when you get what your looking for in your creation. I will say this one came together rather nicely. I do hope you like my take on this weeks cue word.

Freshly Made Sunday…….FMS # 279

Hello my crafty friends……. It’s a beautiful Sunday morning here in So. California. It’s been a great weekend so far.  I’ve been doing what I love most crafting all weekend long. I went to Susan’s card class yesterday and today I’m off to Shannon’s card class this afternoon.  It’s good times for sure just sitting around chit-chatting with crafty friends.  What a life! I’m actually going to get a few challenges in this weekend yippee this girl love’s herself some challenges. You know me my favorite is Freshly Made Sketches. I’m playing along this week with Rita’s sketch and this one was a bit of a challenge for me hint, hint note challenge.

A few weeks ago I saw a card made by Amy Rysavy on her blog she talked about using things that’s in her stash.  I CASed her card a little and decided to go deep into my stash. I think what I like most was her use of a stencil….

Here we go I pulled out the Simon Says Stamp Bouquet of Flowers Stencil. I then blended my distress inks Spun Sugar, picked Raspberry and Festive berries for the Tulips onto a Neenah Solar White cardstock. The leaves was blended with Shabby shutters and mowed lawn. I used the Altenew Thanks stamp set for my sentiment and some sequins from my stash of Lucy’s Little Things Rose Gold.

Stamp: Altenew Many Thanks
Paper: Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, Wild Wasabi (SU)

Freshly Made Saturday…..

Happy Saturday,

My crafty friends… I got a chance to play around in the haven this evening. I’m joining the design team over at Freshly Made Sketches today. I love the sketch designed by Jen Mitchell. I created another card earlier in the week for this challenge. For some reason I changed my mind. I know crazy crafter right….

For the new card I pulled out my distress inks stormy sky, salty ocean, blueprint sketch and blended them on Neenah Solar White cardstock to get a dark stormy sky. I splattered the background with water to give it a splotchy look. I wanted the rain to look surreal so I used my Nuvo Glimmer paste on the stencil from the Hero Arts February Card Kit. I cut an umbrella from the Silhouette Design Store and added white dots to give it character. I stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black ink added clear embossing powder to give it a glossy look. That’s my take on this week’s sketch. Hope You Enjoy!

Oh What A Beautiful Morning…. FMS #277

Happy Saturday my crafty friends… I’ve been busy as a beaver this week. I’m playing along in a few 30-day challenges this month one is the thermoweb national craft month Photo A Day Challenge the other is The Daily Marker 30 day coloring challenge where you color something everyday. I share most of my photos for both of these challenges on Instagram @lisaluvs2stamp you can follow me there as well, If you would like to see what I’m up too each day. This morning I’m playing over on the Freshly Made Sketches blog for their weekly challenge. I have a dear friend who’s husband passed away this week and my heart is heavy.  I don’t typically like making Sympathy cards but this one I created for her.

Since I’ve been coloring most of the week I stamped the Divine stamp image by Penny Black stamps on Neenah Solar white cardstock with MFT Black Licorice Hybrid ink. I then colored the image with several copic markers and added a light blue shadow around the flowers. The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx black  the stamp is Clearly Besotted Thinking of You set.  I had to add sparkle with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen Clear. I’m not even sure you can see the sparkle or the blue shadow around the flower in the photo. I then assembled the card on a Neenah Solar card base with a (SU) Elegant Eggplant mat and on top the art piece is on Neenah Solar white cardstock, of course I had to ad a little bling with some (HA) Pearls.

Crafty Supplies:
Paper: Elegant Eggplant (SU)

On another note I’ve added The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge for you as well. Enjoy your weekend and I’ll be back soon with another weekly post!
