Top of the morning to ya! my crafty friends….. I’m playing this morning in the haven while waiting for the painters to come and finish up the repairs…… I’m playing in a new challenge for me this morning “The Paper Players” the theme is Clean-n-Simple Taste of Fall, apples, pumpkins, etc…. I love fall we don’t get much of that here in So. Cal. but everyone says I need to go up to Julian to get the Fall feeling. I can’t believe yesterday was the last day of summer I’m so feeling fall I want to pull out my boots and sweaters but….the weather is just to fickle sometimes…… I’m off to work enjoy your day. Happy Saturday my crafty peeps….. it’s been a tad bit crazy around here we’re re-plumbing and the house has been a big mess so this girl has been a little sad…. I couldn’t get my crafty on the Mr. felt sad for me and made space for me in the haven so I can craft this weekend….. I’m doing what I love playing in a few challenges this weekend first up is Freshly Made Sketches….. I’m mixing it up a little going way back and mixing some old with the new. I got some new goodies from the Stamping Up Christmas Catalog. I used the Owl punch get it that’s the old with some new Halloween DSP paper and the Pumpkin Pie Shimmer paper is awesome. I kinda wanted a creepy smoky look so I took some Ranger Black Smoot and blended it on the mats….. it looks smoky to me.. It’s a rap hope you like my take on the sketch.

Hello my crafty peeps….. I’m sad can’t play in the haven too much his week we have some re-plumbing going on over here and the craft room is totally out of order. I had a chance to play a little over the weekend and I made a card to play over on the Tic Tac Toe blog…… I actually was working on another card but this is all I got for ya folks so here’s my take on the challenge…… I choose the window card, critter, sequins… I thought I would add a little twist to the window by having the kitty climb up on the self and into the TV so happy he didn’t tilt it over… here you go my crafty friends…..enjoy the rest of your week and I have major catch up this weekend….. I’m having card making withdrawals…….lol!

Happy Saturday my crafty friends….. I went in to work this morning to try and catch up on some work the 3 day weekend always gets me when I get back to the office…. I didn’t get to play in the haven as much as I like this week so I’m playing a little catch up hoping to get some play time in just a little but we’re headed to LA for the evening. I’m playing over on the CASology blog and the cue word this week is Beach… when I saw the word I thought of me sitting in an Adirondack chair just “chillin” with the sand and water hitting my feet and of course tropical drink resting on the arm of the chair… I kinda of envisioned myself doing that with this card one can only dream of doing this right…. I used various copic’s on this card and a dotted technique to get the sand to look the way I wanted it too….. it took several tries to finally get the sand the way I wanted it to look. Hope you like my take on the cue word enjoy the rest of your Saturday and I’ll be back soon.

Happy Labor Day my crafty chickas….It’s Monday and I’ve enjoyed having that extra day off….. I’m hoping to do a lot of card making in the haven today. I finally finished a project for my Brother he recently got a new job and I wanted him to share this quote with him to place on his desk……………
“Life is like a camera….
Focus on what’s important,
Capture the good times,
Develop from the negatives, And if things don’t work out, Take another shot”………
I just love this quote it’s so true even in paper crafting sometimes we have to take another shot because sometimes that card you were working on just didn’t turn out the way you expected….. I’m playing over on the Freshly Made Sketches blog this morning so here’e my take on the sketch…hope you like and enjoy the rest of your day!
