Sketch Saturday #487

Hello and welcome back to another fun week over at Sketch Saturday… This week we have an amazing Sketch created by Alex you should head on over and see what the  Design Team is up too this week
I love to go into Barnes & Noble and see what new crafty magazines they have. For my card this week I couldn’t wait to ink up this new stamp and die set that came with the Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine. I die cut four squares out of an old paper pad of My Minds Eye ( Comfort & Joy) with my Lawn Fawn Sm Stitched Squares and adhered them onto a (5.50 x4.25) Neenah Solar White card base. I die cut a Lawn Fawn Lg, Stitched Circle die and blended some Antique Linen and Walnut Stain Distress inks around the edges of the circle. The Green base circle was die cut the Avery Elle Horizontal Stripes circle. The deer was die cut out from the die that came with the magazine out of Creative Imagination Real Wood.

I masked and stamped the Christmas lights across his antlers and copic colored with various markers. Once dry I added Nuvo Crystal Glaze to give the lights some dimension. To finish off my card I adhered the art panel unto the four squares.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving me some comment love. Please head on over and check out my team mates designs as well.

Winter Flamingos – Sketch Saturday

Good morning my crafty friends it’s Sketch Saturday!  I have a super cute card for you this morning. Our Sponsor this week is Sasayaki Glitter. I choose the Winter Flamingos image for my card.

I downloaded and printed my image onto Copic X-Press It paper and colored the image with various Copic markers. I wanted my card to look as though I’m sending a Christmas postcard to a dear friend. I used my Avery Elle-ments Poatage die to create the look I wanted. The sentiment was cut out from a strip of Lawn Fawn Snow Day papers.

As a final touch, I wanted the flamingos  to look “cooky”  since it’s winter…  so I added a few googlies too two of the flamingos,  Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the falling snowflakes and a few sequins  randomly placed on the card.   The panel and the Lawn Fawn Snow Day paper were adhered onto a Neenah Solar White card base.

Please head  over to the Sketch Saturday blog and see what the rest of the Design Team created. Have a great weekend!
