ho ho ho – Merry Monday

It’s Merry Monday... my crafty friends! This week Debbie has challenged us to create a Christmas card from the sketch below. For my take on the sketch I went patterned paper and plenty of layers.

For my card I pulled out a 12×12 Simple Stories Claus & Co. Collection. I mounted the string lights pattern onto a Neenah Solar White Top-Fold card base. I adhered the ho,ho,ho journal card with a slight offset onto a Neenah panel. I die-cut the stars with the MFT Stars, Moon Die-namics and placed them on the corner of the journal card. To finish off my card I added a few Nuvo Crystal Drops in Bottle Green.

O Christmas Tree – Merry Monday Christmas Challenge

Welcome to this week’s Merry Monday challenge! This week, Deanne challenged us to add a tree to our cards. I went with a Charlie Brown Christmas theme. You can head over to the challenge HERE and check out the beautiful designs created by the rest of the Design Team.

For my card this week, I stamped the Mama Elephant O Tiny Tree image onto Ranger watercolor paper with Ranger Distress inks in Gathered Twigs, Shabby Shutters, Forest Moss. I then used a Pental watercolor brush to give the image a slight watercolored lookI stamped the Christmas ornament with Memento Tuxedo black ink and Copic colored it with (R46) added some shimmer with a Sakura Glitter Pen. I die cut the watercolor panel and a (4.25×5.25) sheet of patterned paper from an old Authentique Retro Christmas 6×6 paper pad with the SSS Stitched Rectangle dies.

To finish my card I blended some Gathered Twig Distress ink around the edges to give it a lonely vintage look (You remember that lonely tree on Charlie Brown Christmas) and to forgo adding a sentiment. I adhered both panels onto a (SU) Wild Wasabi A2 Top Fold card base. Thanks for stopping by………

TTTC017-Merry Christmas

Hello my crafty friends it’s Tic Tac Toe Thursday! I’m super excited to share my design with you this week….. This one was pretty easy peasy to pull together. I decided to pull elements from the bottom left diagonal row up: ink blending, circle, green.

I stamped the Avery Elle Festive Wreath image onto X-Press-It blending paper and colored with various Copic markers. I pulled out last year’s Authentique Retro Christmas 6×6 paper pad and used one of the patterns that had bulbs to accent the berries in the wreath. To finish my card I adhered the pattern paper and art piece onto a Top-Fold (SU) Garden Green card base added a few Nuvo Crystal Drops in Red Berry, Nuvo Crystal Glaze onto the berries to give them dimension along with white accents on the leaves and berries. The sentiment was stamped with SSS Clear Ink and heat embossed with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

“Jingle Bell Rock” – Merry Monday

Dashing through the snow….. Hum! oops wrong song Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock. I just love that song can’t you hear those cute little penguins singing and rocking out.

This weeks challenge over at Merry Monday Colleen’s challenge is for us to add a penguin to our card.

For my design this week I created a winter scene with the Lawn Fawn Here We Go A Waddling stamp set. I die cut the LF Stitched Portrait Hillside Backdrop on Neenah cardstock. The extra piece from the die cut I blended Faded Jeans and Blueprint Sketch to give me a night sky. I stamped the LF Snowy Backdrop onto the panel with SSS Clear Ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts White Puff (EP). I stamped several of the penguins onto X-Press It Blending paper and Copic colored.

To finish off my card I adhered the Hillside panel onto a A2 Top Fold Card Base.

Please head over to Merry Monday blog and check out the rest of the Design Team lovely creations.
