My Friend

Happy TGIF, I’m not a sparkly or bling type of girl but when I laid my eyes on the POW! Glitter cardstock I was amazed at the soft texture, guess what no glittery mess.

For my design, I cut the POW Black Glitter cardstock and the Basis White (110) cardstock down to (5 1/2 x4 1/4). I took the Basis cardstock; blended several inks onto the background to give me a tye-dye look.

The Pow Glitter and Basis White panels were die cut with a flower, and diagonal stripes cover plates.

I adhered the diagonal stripes die cut onto an A2 Top Fold Basis White card base and randomly adhered the flowers onto the panel. I stamped a sentiment in clear embossing ink, Yes on the POW Glitter card stock (love this paper), sprinkled with white embossing powder and heat set added a few embellishments to finish my design.

Ink & Paper Hugs,

happy summer….

Hey friends! Happy Friday super excited to share my post with you today. I have a cute little card where those pesky lil ants decided to ruin my picnic.

I chose Lawn Fawn Happy Summer, Make Lemonade, Lets BBQ  and the Peekaboo Backdrop to make a Comic Strip Picnic Card. I watercolored my images with Tombow markers and created fun little backgrounds with the Stitched Hillside Borders.

I added a sentiment using the Lawn Fawn Happy Summer stamp set. I loved how quick and easy this was to make, once the coloring and die cutting was done.

Thank you so much for stopping by, you can head over to the Dies R Us blog to check out the rest of the Design Team.

Have a great weekend!

“Ink & Paper Hugs”

thinking of you….

Happy Friday, friends! I’m glad you’ve stopped by today! I’m super excited to be sharing my first post as part of the Dies R Us Design Team.  I’m super excited to be a part of this amazing Design Team.

For my design this week I die cut a panel from a Bristol smooth paper with the largest die from the Penny Black Antique Frame dies. I placed the Memory Box Calais Butterflies die across the panel and die cut them out partially.

I masked off the butterflies and ink blended Worn LipstickTattered RoseSqueeze LemonadeTwisted Citron Distress Oxide inks onto the panel.

I removed the masks and blended the oxide inks onto the butterflies using the same colors to give them a soft ombre look.

To finish my design I added a few water droplets, splatters of ink to match the Tattered Rose and Worn Lipstick Oxide Inks. The sentiment was stamped with black ink and heat embossed with Clear (EP). I adhered the panel onto an A2 Side Fold Neenah Solar White card base.

Don’t forget to come join in the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  There’s a new challenge theme offered on the 1st and 15th of each month and one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a gift voucher prize to the Dies R Us Store.  For your convenience, all supplies links are provided below.
