Happy Monday… my crafty friends I’m back with another card for this weeks Merry Monday Christmas challenge. This week Colleen challenged us to create a Christmas card in (green, blue, white, silver and vellum)

For my design this week I’m using the Poinsettia Ribbon die from Memory Box. I die cut it in (DCWV) Glitzy Glitter Silver and Blueish Teal card-stock and adhered the Blueish Teal poinsettia petals onto the silver petals. I love this die!

I did a little ink smooshing watercolor technique for the background in Twisted Citron Distress ink. I added few spatters of Nuvo Glitter Drops to add some glam. I stamped the sentiment from PTI Holiday Wishes (Vol. 1) stamp set and heat embossed with Hero Arts Silver embossing powder.

I offset the panel to Silver card-stock and then mounted to a 5.5 inch square white card base.

Happy Monday… my crafty friends I’m back with another card for this weeks Merry Monday Christmas challenge. This week Sue challenged us to create a Christmas card with a Santa. For my design this week I used the cute Vintage Santa from Simon Say’s Stamp Swell Christmas stamp set. You can read all about the challenge HERE and also see what the rest of the design team created this week.

To begin, I stamped and colored the Santa on Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and colored with Prismacolor pencils. I used my Sakura Jelly roll pen in White and Black to add the freckles and glimmer in his eye….

to give his beard some definition I added some Nuvo Glitter Accents.

I wanted the background to have a vintage feel to it I took one of the star shape stamps and stamped it all over the card with Simon Say’s Stamp Barely Beige ink and blended Walnut Stain Distress ink around the edges. I used one of the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Stacked dies to cut out a piece of Authentique Retro Christmas paper.

To finish my card I adhered the art and patterned paper to an A2 Top-Fold (SU) Real Red card base and tied some red and white baker’s twine. Well that’s all folks hope you like my take on this week’s challenge.

Hello! Happy Wednesday my crafty friends…This morning I have a new card for you over at The Merry Christmas Challenge.
For my card this week I couldn’t wait to ink up the Avery Elle Caroling Critters. I think it goes well with this weeks challenge ” create a card with “animals can’t you envision those critters standing on the street corner singing Joy to the World.
I inked up several images from the stamp set with a Copic friendly ink Memento Tuxedo Black and colored the images with various Copic Markers. The images were cut with my Brother Scan N Cut. I used one of the dies from the Avery Elle Custom Panels Elle-ments set to cut out a snow bank. On the background I used Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch to create a snowy night. I used the Avery Elle Falling Snow Elle-ments die to add the snow. To finish my card I adhered the background to an A2 Top Fold Neenah Card base. I added Nuvo Glitter to the die cut snow banks to make it look like fallen snow on the ground and adhered them to the background.
I added some detail to the images with a Sakura White Gelly Roll pen, glossy accents was added to the lamp post. The sentiment and musical notes were stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black. Hope you like my take on this weeks challenge. Come play along with us for the The Merry Christmas Challenge, the design team has some beautiful inspiration on the challenge blog as well.
